2 | Use Y-connection on the vacuum line of the windshield wipers. This vacuum supply goes to a glass jar which serves as a reservoir. (A small glass peanut butter jar with copper tubes soldered in the metal lid is fine). On the reservoir there must be a by-pass valve (a radiator drain valve will do nicely). This valve is necessary to control the amount of suction.
3 | Regular windshield wiper hose should be used for the supply line. A thin-wall hose would collapse.
4 | Testimonial: "My hubby made one of these units for my first trip out of the hospital. I found it less irritating to my throat and still did a better job of aspirating than the commercial machine. Now traveling is a real pleasure with the aspirating problem eliminated." |
